Deev-Man (2024)
The word “Man” in Farsi means “I”
and “Deev” means “Demon”
This book depicts a stream of consciousness between two worlds. I started to read about Iranian supernatural believes and at the same time was trying to write about my painting process. It is a dialogue between the “Artist” and the creatures from an imaginary world in the form of a comic artbook. A threshold between the “real” and the “fantasy”.
Ubiquité (2023)
“Ubiquité” is a French term that means the capacity to be in several places at the same time. Both artists have personal experiences with migration and share this feeling of wanting to be in two places simultaneously; both can somehow feel alienating, like being “other”. Supported by the Swiss National Bank (SNB), the Marktgasse passage became an alien area where people could hear sound pieces through aluminum construction pipes. The artists appeared in unannounced performances in the passage to share a story with the pedestrians using one of the construction pipes. For more information, visit here.
The Cooking Recipe (2022)
This video is about contradictions and reflects on the experience of living in a society full of lies. It shows what “truth” means under different circumstances.
